I’ve messed around with the menus a bit so that there is now a “User” menu instead of an “Options” menu. Note that you can use this to go your user page. On the user page I’ve added a statistics tab as well as a “similar users” tab which displays your overlap in SciTing with other users.
Okay, I’m beginning to think about a search function now and RSS feeds which would post, say, the top SciTed papers for a day (after a day or so) or for a week (with a gap again). Any other ideas for new features?

Is there any reason that the listings appear on Scirate so long after they are first available at arXiv.org? Is that just the price that all mirroring sites are forced to pay? It might be easier to convince others to switch to Scirate for their primary arXiv reading if the listings appeared sooner, that’s all.
Nonetheless, I love the interface – it’s where I get my arXiv fix.

Part of the reason is that the arxiv rss feed is broken. It doesn’t post a timestamp when it posts its rss. But really this is just an excuse for me not kludging together a more robust technique for grabbing the day’s listings. In other words, yeah I should fix it!

Okay I’ve hopefully fixed the time problem. Or at least the new posting should come when the rss feed is updated by the arxiv which, as far as I can tell, is a little after the official posting.
